Methodology & transparency
How we help you move from a business idea to an actionable plan.
From Idea To Plan starts with a free 36-question business idea quiz. It uses archetype scoring, budget eligibility, customer type and selected practical constraints to recommend possible business ideas. You can then choose to purchase an AI-generated planning PDF.

The 36 questions explore motivations, strengths, budget, preferred customers, delivery format, acquisition channels and work style. Not every answer changes the ranking. Some answers are recorded as preferences for your results or optional plan, rather than used directly in matching.
2. How are business ideas matched?
- Entrepreneur archetype: answers to questions 1–14 and 36 contribute to Creator, Operator, Connector or Analyst scores. Your winning archetype affects idea scoring.
- Budget eligibility: question 15 sets a budget tier. Only ideas available at that tier are considered in the initial selection.
- Customer type: question 21 identifies a B2B or B2C preference. Ideas targeting that customer type, or both, receive additional ranking points.
- Practical constraints: question 18 (urgent income), 27 (create once, sell many), 26 (behind-the-scenes visibility), and 34 (selling tolerance) can prioritize or filter ideas.
- Acquisition channel: question 25 contributes a small ranking bonus for ideas with an editorially assigned fit for your selected channel: social short-form, LinkedIn, referrals, or SEO. These channel tags are heuristics, not evidence of actual customer acquisition performance.
- Delivery preference: question 24 now gives matching delivery models a ranking bonus. Digital-plus-service ideas can match either digital product or service preferences. Delivery preference does not guarantee that the recommended idea uses that format.
Recommendations now use weighted, deterministic scoring across archetype, customer type, delivery preference, acquisition channel and practical constraints, after checking budget eligibility. Some different answers can still produce the same recommendations where other criteria outweigh them. The match score is not a success probability or a measured market-validation result.
The free results also include a self-reported validation checklist to track customer interviews, problem evidence, willingness to pay, and delivery-cost checks. This is not an independently verified viability score.
The resulting recommendation is a structured starting point. This quiz is not a clinically validated personality test, a guarantee of market demand, or a substitute for interviewing actual customers.

4. How should I interpret financial projections?
Numbers in generated plans are illustrative estimates based on assumptions. They are not actual revenue, observed customer behavior, independently verified market-size data, or reliable forecasts of what your business will earn. Before making financial commitments, validate costs, local regulations, supplier quotes, customer demand, and pricing in your target market.
Important: AI-generated content may include factual errors, unsupported assumptions, or inaccurate references. Check market claims and sources independently before relying on them.
5. What should I do after receiving a recommendation?
- Talk with potential customers and test whether the problem is urgent enough to pay for.
- Compare competitors and alternatives in your specific location or sector.
- Build a small, low-cost offer and ask for genuine feedback.
- Replace the sample financial assumptions with real costs, prices, and conversion evidence.
- Get relevant legal, tax, and financial advice where needed.
6. Who created From Idea To Plan?
From Idea To Plan is a project by Mnawar Mohammed. The quiz offers a structured way to explore potential business ideas and is intended to help users move from initial inspiration to practical validation.
